Sevilla University revises cheating rule

The university has reconsidered its regulations after widespread criticism in the press

Sevilla University has cancelled a new rule which would have allowed students who were caught cheating to complete their examination.

A statement from the university said that the rule was being revised ‘to avoid misinterpretation’, but it comes after widespread comment in the Spanish press.

The university rector, Joaquín Luque, commented that the university re-affirmed its undertaking to note the merit and effort of its students.
