FELIPE VI: TO BE CROWNED TOMORROW (LOW B2)

Prince Felipe will be crowned King Felipe VI of Spain tomorrow at Spain’s parliament, as his father Juan Carlos I abdicated.

No foreign royals have been invited to attend the coronation, as there is no big ceremony planned for the event. The event takes place amid animosity among protesters to abolish monarchy altogether as being an unnecessary drain on the finances of the country. Tens of thousands across Spain have taken to the streets to demand a referendum on whether the country should keep its monarchy or be proclaimed a republic following the abdication of King Juan Carlos I.

HAVE YOUR SAY! DO YOU THINK IT´S THE RIGHT TIME FOR A REFERENDUM IN SPAIN?
