“SPRITZ” : READING FASTER THAN EVER… (LOW B2)

NOW THAT YOU MUST HAVE READ YOUR SECOND BOOK I FOUND THIS NEW APP CALLED “SPRITZ”. CAN YOU IMAGINE SPEED-READING A HARRY POTTER NOVEL IN AN HOUR?

Instead of showing you lines of text the way we’re all accustomed to, Spritz shows you the words one at a time — at rapid-fire speeds. The app lets you set the speed between 250 words per minute and 1000 wpm. At the top speed, a reader could speed through the first Harry Potter novel in just over an hour. When we read, our eyes normally have to send time moving from word to word — line to line. With Spritz your eyes don’t have to waste any time moving – the screen shows all the words in nearly the exact same place, one after another.

IF YOU CLICK ON THE TWEET YOU CAN LISTEN TO A CONVERSATION WHERE THE NEW APP IS EXPLAINED. THE TRANSCRIPT IS ALSO PROVIDED.

HAVE YOU TRIED ANY SIMILAR APP? CAN YOU THINK OF ANY DRAWBACKS?
