“The Big Friendly Giant” was said to have been Roald Dahl’s favourite of all his stories. The character of the Big Friendly Giant and his idiosyncratic way of talking, known as gobblefunk, is one that has delighted audience ever since its publication in 1982.

This Friday Steven Spielberg is bringing The BFG to the big screen!

A girl named Sophie encounters the Big Friendly Giant who, despite his intimidating appearance, turns out to be a kindhearted soul who is considered an outcast by the other giants because, unlike them, he refuses to eat children.
