WELCOME TO OUR BLOG!!

I’m Carmen Gómez Benítez  and I work at the state school of languages in Valencia (EOI VALENCIA) . I´ve been teaching English for quite a long time . When teaching had become a matter of routine I needed something else to encourage me and my students to move  forward …. and it was then when I found you: “Mr BLOG” which hopefully will add spice to my teaching.

collaborative

Now that COLLABORATIVE LEARNING , E-LEARNING, M-LEARNING and the widespread use of social networks are part of our everyday life, using blogs makes sense more than ever…..as students can share resources and information, evaluate one another´s ideas and monitor one another´s work among many other things….

LEARNING IS ALSO REFLECTING ON OUR PERSONAL LEARNING PROCESSES, SO I´M NOW WORKING ON MY PERSONAL LANGUAGE ENVIRONMENT (PLE) TO HELP MY STUDENTS THINK ABOUT THEIR OWN ….

“Variety is the spice of life”  means that it´s good to try and do different things . Variety, if added to our teaching, could have the same effect of a spice and enhance our everyday classes—- Life and “teaching” are much more interesting when you try to do things in different ways. Variety is they key  spice which adds flavour to life, and so to both the teaching and learning processes.

SO,ADD YOUR OWN SPICE TO YOUR ENGLISH AND LET´S  START BLOGGING!!!

  3. Congrats Carmen for your blog!

It´s great to see that not all the teachers are rusty and they do different things to encourage the pupils to explore alternative ways lo learn. I enjoyed a lot of your class and I liked your energy. I won’t say who I am because I don´t want you to think that I´m trying to suck up to you, this is just to support what you do and to give you a little bit more energy to continue doing it (even if I don´t think that you need it!!)

    Well done!

  4. Hi Carmen, I don’t know I landed here! I don’t know if you remember me. We worked together at Valencia school two years ago and we shared some days at the certification exams. My name is Carmen Rizo and I am an English teacher too. Right now, I’m preparing my oposiciones and working at the Eoi Torrevieja. I’m looking for material for my didactic units and found your blog. I have a blog myself too! Well, anyway, I’m happy to have found you and see you are ok! Say hi to everybody! I hope to see you again. Best regards!
