A “THANK YOU NOTE” (CONVERSATION GAMBITS, B1.2 & B2.2)

Dear students ( specially Covid 19 survivors)

As this “special” tough school year is coming to an end I´d like to write a few words to say THANK YOU  and to let you know how much I appreciate the great effort you´ve been making to get the hang of technology  in these difficult times of lockdown. I do know I might have been a tiresome teacher at times making you try video calls, and so many other different tools: Flipgrid, Socrative, Edpuzzle, Padlet … you name it… Nobody can deny this has been arduous, strenuous,  exhausting  work …. but I was just trying to do my best and pass on you  the passion I have for my job….and you never complained,  gave up or threw in the towel ….CONGRATULATIONS.: As your teacher, I feel proud of you , “you passed the test with flying colours” no matter what the final results were . I hope to have made the right decisions, anyway….

REMEMBER: “Every cloud has a silver lining” (OR…. “No hay mal que por bien no venga”) as we have all learnt and shared a lot against the clock.  This is a school year I will never forget as it will mark a turning point in my teaching career and maybe in my life, as well. So,  I will never forget YOU and your support in the difficult moments. Teachers need students and you were my real inspiration throughout  these months. I enjoyed teaching you and it means a lot to me to know that you also enjoyed my classes.

As Nina Simone sang “Every time I say goodbye, I die a little…” However,  this not a goodbye, just a “see you soon”.
